Nottingham High School

Tuition Fees from September 2016/2017

  • Infant School Tuition Fees: £3,155 per term
  • Junior School Tuition Fees: £3,670 per term
  • Senior School Tuition Fees: £4,608 per term 

The cost of stationery, exercise and text books and external examinations is included in the tuition fee. Parents may wish to consider covering School fees by means of insurance schemes. The School cannot endorse any particular scheme, but further information should be obtained from an independent financial advisor.

Fees are due on the first Friday of each term and are paid by Direct Debit.

  • Senior School Instrument Hire: £50 per term

Deposits

If your child is successful in their entrance assessment we will send you an offer letter asking for acceptance of the offer in writing within 14 days, together with a deposit of £800. This can be paid by cheque, credit/debit card or bank transfer.

This amount is returned when your child leaves the school, in the event of a pupil not taking up their place, the deposit will only be returnable under special circumstances at the discretion of the Headmaster and Governors.

Bursary Scheme

Nottingham High School operates a bursary support scheme for pupils entering the school at age 11 (Year 7, Senior School).

Bursaries are means-tested and can provide help up to full fees depending on parental income. Awards of Bursaries will be calculated on an annual basis and parents will be required to submit details of their finances each May or June. Parents who wish their child to be considered for assistance must be prepared to provide confidential information concerning their financial situation.

Part-Scholarships

Part-Scholarships of a fixed sum may be awarded to pupils taking the 11+ Entrance Examination. They are not linked to parental finances and will normally continue throughout a pupil’s school career.

Application does not have to be made for part-scholarships as these are awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster, subject to Entrance Examination performance and interview.
