Assemblies are held twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays at 8.55. Usually boys will attend Assembly in the Player Hall, but there are some Year Group assemblies in the Large Lecture Theatre, and at examination times Years 7 to 10 meet in the Founder Hall.

 

Assembly formats vary, but usually include a hymn from the Christian tradition followed by a reading or talk.  A few parents ask the Headmaster to excuse their sons from any Christian part of the proceedings. 

 

Everyone attends the second part of assembly, when notices are read out. Boys are asked to remember to tell their parents if important announcements have been made or achievements celebrated.
