Many congratulations to Cooper's House verse speaking choir who won this section of the Bridge Cup Competition with their splendid rendition of T.S.Eliot's
Rhapsody on a windy night.
The large choir worked very hard during break-time rehearsals and were praised for the clarity with which they performed this difficult piece.
Mention was also made of the subtlety of tone and variety of dramatic touches in the adjudicator's analysis.
Many thanks to all of you who took part.
Particular congratulations are due to David Peachey, who transformed an initially slightly unruly group of boys into a successful choir, and who conducted the winning performance with great aplomb.
