Donation to the Nottingham branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
On Thursday 29th September, during our first house meeting of this school year, new House Captain and Vice Captain, Matt O'Grady and Greg Bramhall presented a cheque to the value of £3200 to John Renshaw and Matthew, who is himself an MS sufferer, from the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
This sum was the result of our fund-raising efforts during the school year 2004-5.
The following events were held:
October | Sponsored Spell | Year 7 | £312 |
December | Cooper’s Café | Christmas Fayre | £373 |
February | Valentines’ Disco | Years 7, 8 and 9 | £600 |
March | Cooper’s Quiz | Dining Hall | £212 |
June | 100-mile Bike Ride | Notts and Lincs | £1250 |
The final total was made up by adding moneys coming in from various tutor set collections and from Non-Uniform Days.
Congratulations on another magnificent effort from boys and staff. Particular thanks are due to all who took part in or helped to run an event.
