Hardy's House
Boreatton Park Residential
Hardy’s House is named after Theodore Bayley Hardy, who was born in 1863. In 1891 he started a career in teaching. He became a Minister in 1898 and at the age of 54 he volunteered for service as a Chaplain in the First World War. He was respected by his whole division and won, first the D.S.O and then the M.C. He was later awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest honour possible, for his courage and bravery. Unfortunately he was severely wounded towards the end of the war, and one month before the war finally ended, he died of his wounds.

Three teachers belong to Hardy’s House – Mrs Eastwood, Mrs Sweeney and Mr Bevell.  Two Year 6 boys are chosen by the boys in their House as House Captains each year and these boys carry out duties for both the House and the School.
