Treases' House
Chess
Trease’s House is named after R E Trease who was a boy in the School from 1898 until July 1905.  Reginald Trease was a good all-round sportsman, excelling, particularly as a rower for the Nottingham Rowing Club and also as a good cricketer.

He joined the army and rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He was wounded three times during the Great War and was awarded the DSO and MC  for his unselfish and brave actions. He died at the age of 29. His medals were mounted and presented to the school by his family and they hung in Trease’s House room for many years. Sadly, in the late 1960s they were stolen in a burglary
 and were never recovered.

Today, there are two Housemasters in charge of Trease’s House, they are Mr Jones the Senior Housemaster and Mrs Whittamore the Assistant Housemistress.  Two Year 6 boys are chosen as House Captains each year and these boys carry out duties for both the House and School.
