The School Day

The school day begins at 8.40 with registration in the form room. This first form period enables children to organise their materials and discuss any issues with their form tutor, it also includes a daily visit from Mr Earnshaw, the headmaster. Following this the boys meet as a school for service or hymn practise or in their houses for house meetings. These are followed by three periods of lessons leading to the first break, each period lasting 35 minutes.

At break the children have the opportunity to purchase healthy fruit snacks from the school fruit shop run by our Year Five boys.

There are a further two periods of lessons before lunchtime, which is held in the purpose built dining hall. Following lunch the boys have the opportunity to take part in a variety of extra curricular activities as well as playing in the playground. Lunchtime is followed by afternoon registration and a second short form period with the form tutor.

On Monday and Friday afternoons the boys are taken to the school's Valley Field as part of our games programme. Regular afternoons contain a further three periods of lessons before dismissal with the form tutor.
