On 10th April, the Inter-house swimming gala got under way at the Nottingham High School pool.  Every boy in the school had the opportunity to represent their house: Year 3 were in 1 event each ,Year 4 could choose 1 or 2 events and the Year 5 and 6 boys could choose 2 events and also be selected for relay events. It was very pleasing this year in the fact that every single boy wanted to swim a length of the 25m pool rather than do a width of the shallow end. The boys swam very well indeed and showed great support for each other and particularly for boys who were still developing their sprint swimming skills. Mrs Eastwood and Mrs Sweeney did a great job keeping score under a lot of pressure. The running totals were announced at various times during the morning and it was very exciting with the points being so close, but Trease’s just pipped Ball’s to the post and retain the trophy for another year. Many thanks to all the members of the staff who were drafted in for various jobs and for helping to make it a very smooth and successful swimming gala.
