We were blessed again with lovely weather for the annual sports day, the first sporting event of the year.  Every boy in the school has an event to compete in and an opportunity to represent their house. Throughout the afternoon there were some excellent performances from boys from all year groups. 

 

Parents and visitors enjoyed the sunshine and must have found it tiring just watching the entertainment.  Perhaps the most entertaining event of all was the 1000m walk...which was proabably one of the fastest events of the day!

 

Throughout the afternoon it was a closely run contest with three of the four houses vying for top spot, with Tonkins struggling to keep up the pace.  However with a clean sweep of all of the relays Hardy's proved it really does need a team effort to win the Legget shield.  Tonkins closed the gap with some strong performances in the relays and in the final events.  Click here for the full list of winners and for more photographs use the jumping, throwing and track photographs.
