Games Night
By Sasha Burnside
Games night was a great success with over 120 people turning up. Many of the games were old-fashioned fun stuff including Pick a Pea, Basketball, Putting and Shove Ha'Penny. Two members of staff ran games and they were Mr Jones (deputy head) and Mr Pallant (headmaster). Those two games were basketball and putting. In charge for the night was The Friends committee and they provided food and drink. There was also many funny moments like when someone said they were giving Lent up for chocolate when they received some Heroes as a prize - it should have been chocolate for Lent! Also the Dads were getting extremely competitive! It was all held in the dining hall. One boy who was only 4 years old managed one of the highest scores on the Shove Ha'Penny board of the night! The winning team were The Invincibles. It was a tremendous night and everyone enjoyed themselves I think.
