Air Rifle Shooting

Air Rifle shooting is shooting targets with lead pellets. When pellets hit the target they flatten and fall to the ground. There are three main parts to a rifle, the stock [the wooden part of the rifle], the trigger [the part that you pull to fire a gun] and the barrel [the part of the gun where the pellet comes out. To shoot the gun you need to hold it the correct way. The stock should be on your shoulder and your cheek on the upper part of the stock. If you’re right-handed your left eye should be shut and your left hand near the barrel. Your right hand should be on the trigger. For left handed people vice versa. Your open eye should look through a gap in the gun. We were given a pair of safety goggles so no poison could get into our eyes. We were given targets. We placed them on the stands. The lady individually showed us how to fire the gun and we shot a few more pellets. We counted how many points we got and we had a winner.
