Today we went to Levisham Moor and descended a deeply cut griff. On our way down we saw a site rich in fossils and different types of moss. At the bottom we went stream dipping in Levisham Beck and found Caddis Fly larvae and Mayfly nymphs. We drew these in our lab session later on in the evening.
Then we mountaineered up the steep side of the griff researching the mini-bus via a circular walk. On the walk we saw the remains of an iron-age burial mound and bronze-age settlement.
