Lovell House Infant School is located on the outskirts of Nottingham, less than a mile from the city centre. It is well served with road and rail links, and even has its own tram stop ('High School').
Directions
Tram
It is possible to travel directly to the School on the tram from Junction 26 of the M1 (Phoenix Park) or from the railway station. More information at www.thetram.net/maps/highschool.asp
Train
Upon arrival at Nottingham Station take the tram (follow NET signs) and get off at the High School stop. Use the tram link above to find out times, fares etc. It is a very reliable and frequent service.
By Road
The postcode of the school for those wishing to use sat nav is NG7 4DX.
We advise those coming by car and using the M1 to leave the motorway at junction 26, as this is by far the most direct route to the school for those unfamiliar with Nottingham.
Then drive in on the A610 signed "City Centre" until you arrive at the traffic lights with the multi-carriageway ring road (2.7 miles).
Continue straight ahead on the A610, still following signs for "City Centre", and through a set of pedestrian lights after 0.2 of a mile.
Go past the Volvo garage on the left, and through traffic lights in another 0.2 of a mile.
Over a railway bridge and through another set of pedestrian lights in 0.3 of a mile, and just beyond that through another set of traffic lights.
After a further 0.2 of a mile, go through another set of pedestrian lights by the "Clarence" pub (on your left) - still following signs for A610 "City Centre".
In a further 0.1 of a mile go through another set of traffic lights, and get into the left hand lane (provided that it is not between 0730 and 0930 when it is a bus lane); go past the "Alma" pub on your left; through another set of pedestrian lights in 0.2 of a mile, and immediately afterwards turn left at the traffic lights between the "Dixy Chicken" and the "Premier Convenience shop" into Forest Road West.
At the traffic lights in 0.3 of a mile turn right into Waverley Street (you will see the tram tracks on this road). Lovell House is situated 0.1 of a mile down on the right-hand side of the road, just beyond the High School tram stop, on the corner of Waverley Street and Arthur Street. Visitor parking is available on the main site, the entrance to which is located on the opposite side of Waverley Street just before you get to Lovell House, right next to the tram stop.
(A total distance from the M1 of 4.5 miles.)
