Boys-only education brings out the best in boys, says expert

Leading doctor and psychologist, Dr Leonard Sax, confirms in a number of press articles that boys do indeed learn better in a single-sex environment.

This is welcome news!  The teaching and learning methods we employ throughout the School are carefully selected and implemented to bring out the best in the boys in our care, and nowhere is this more prominent than in our new infant school, Lovell House.

Dr Sax goes on to say that because boys brains mature more slowly than girls', they cope less well at an early age with the strict disciplines of formal schooling, and need space to be more active. The teaching methods employed at Lovell House recognise this and acknowledge that boys respond best when they are allowed to develop at their own pace.
