Nottingham High School has appointed Anne Cummings as deputy head of its new infant section, Lovell House.
Currently deputy head at Gunthorpe Church of England Primary School, Anne will be taking up the post at Lovell House on 1 January 2008.
She has previously taught at a number of primary schools across Nottinghamshire, as well as working with the Notts Early Years Advisory Team supporting primary school teachers.
Although Nottingham High Junior School head teacher, Andrew Earnshaw, will assume the overall role of head at Lovell House, the day to day running of the school will be Anne’s responsibility.
Anne said: "I am delighted to become part of the team which will develop Lovell House. We will provide the boys with play-based learning opportunities that will be challenging and fun, and will lay firm foundations for their development. I am looking forward to welcoming boys into the High School family at Lovell House."
Anne has a daughter who is 17 and a son who is 13; her interests include travel, ski-ing and walking, and she plays a full role in village life.
