This year's 'Battle of the Bands' was held on Friday, 2nd May in the Founder Hall, and was judged by Mr Simon Ford from BBC Radio Nottingham. In a tight contest, the eventual winners were Vic and the Rattleheads, although all 4 student bands, as well as the special staff ensemble (somewhat fittingly entitled Hip Replacement!) won the applause of the appreciative crowd.

The event raised just under £600 to add to the £1600 raised by Non-Uniform Day. This will be divided between the 4 House charities - The Motor Neurone Disease Association, Oliver's Army, Bank for the Poor, and the Berega Hospital in Tanzania.

Battle of the Bands was organised and adeptly managed by Sixth Formers Ed Adams, Ed Macdonald and Richard Hanford, with special mention to Tregi Scholes and her stage staffers for their technical wizardry!
