Nimble Trimble Seals the Deal
It was the largest win this Century between the two intense rivals.  The scrappy nature of Nottingham High School's victory did not restrict the team's ecstatic celebrations.
The wet and slippery conditions meant that both sides found it difficult to play expansive rugby in front of the hundreds of enthusiastic spectators at Trent College.

A scything run by George Matthew opened the scoring fifteen minutes in.  Two calmly slotted kicks from fly-half James Stokes extended the away team's lead to ten points.

The second half began with a brave fight back from Trent College.  Penalties cost the High School as the home side's well-drilled pack advanced to the try line.  With the score at 10 - 5 to the High School, Trent College, for the first time in the game, threw the ball wide and scored into the corner.
After a stern talking to from their coach, the High School players responded aggresively.  Their enthusiastic defence produced a penalty 35 metres from the touch-line, which Stokes converted brilliantly.  With time running out, the tension was enthrawling, with both sides making mistakes.
In the game's last play, a mistake from the Trent College fullback, whilst collecting a long kick from John Williams, gave Max Trimble a chance he wasn't going to waste.
The High School winger dived over the touch line to seal a hard earned victory.  Although not satisfied with their performance, the High School celebrated what is always a sweet occasion.

The High School have now won the fixture twice in a row and will look to extend this run next year.
