On Saturday, 12th April, teams from Nottingham High School, Repton School and Trent College gathered to take part in an inaugural Twenty20 Cricket competition at Valley Road playing fields. There was a lively, family atmostphere with music, and a BBQ, and the boys all looked very eye-catching in their coloured cricket kits.

 

 

 

Nottingham High School played Trent in the first game and scored 86 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs. Trent were 76-6 after 15.4 overs when unfortunately the heavens opened and the rest of the fixture had to be abandoned.

 

Nevertheless, a good time was had by all, and it will almost certainly not be the last competition played in this popular format. Many thanks to all the parents and families who came along to support the event - let's hope we have better luck with the weather next time!
