The success of World Book Day meant the School was able to donate over £800 to Book Aid International, which means that another 640 books were able to be bought for children in sub-Saharan Africa!

World Book Day 2008 (6th March) was celebrated in style this year at Nottingham High School.

On World Book Day school children are entitled to receive a World Book Day £1 Book Token, which can be exchanged for one of the nine specially published World Book Day Books, or is redeemable against any book or audiobook of their choice at a participating bookshop or book club.

This year the titles ranged from 'Paddington Rules the Waves' to 'Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets'. However, the most popular book at the School was 'Where's Wally?', which attracted an almost cult-like following amongst the boys and was sold out even before the bell went!
