The Year
10 Business Dynamics Conference was held on Wednesday 25th June in the Player
Hall, with all of the Year 10 pupils involved. The day was led by
Mike Watson from Business Dynamics, with a team of experts in business and
finance and several members of the teaching staff, including Mr Lamb, the
Senior Careers Adviser and Mr Martin, the Head of Year 10.
During the day the pupils were split into non-friendship
teams and given business tasks to complete which included a production exercise,
and a selection panel. The day concluded with a design and build exercise to
construct a white-knuckle ride to given specifications. There were prizes
awarded throughout the day which the pupils thoroughly enjoyed.
The Headmaster was a welcome visitor at several points in the day and
the pupils learned something of the frustrations and successes of a day spent
at the office. Our thanks go to the Business Dynamics team and to
all the staff who helped.
