Do you want to research the School Archives to find details of fellow ONs or to research the history of the School?

Do have details of ONs which the School might want to add to its Archive?

If the answer to either of these questions is “yes”, the following message may be of interest:

Nottingham High School has an extensive archive collection, which is managed by the Head Librarian/Archivist, Miss Deb Grooby.

The archives record the history of Nottingham High School since its foundation in 1513 by Dame Agnes Mellers.

They are currently housed in the library and are administered by the librarian and include ledgers, which record all pupils who attended the school from 1807 when it was known as 'The Free Grammar School', until the present day.  All scholars who attend the school are still recorded in this way.

Also included in the archives are many photographs, some dating from the 1880's, our School Record, School Magazine, maps, artefacts, and many other items which reflect daily life at school.

We are also very keen to continually add to this collection and if you have any publications, or general history information concerning the school, please contact the Archivist Grooby.d@nottinghamhigh.co.uk who can discuss the possibility of adding it to our collection or making copies of it.
