The 2006 Oxford Dinner was held on 11th February 2006 at Balliol College and was attended by nearly 30 members and guests.
The event was organised by James Seddon ON, who makes the following comments:
"It was with great pleasure that I organised this year's Old Nottinghamians' Oxford Dinner. Once again Balliol College provided the splendid venue. Watched over by portraits of former Balliol Masters, we were served with a delicious meal in the college Hall. At the start of the evening I was apprehensive that it should be a success, but as the dinner unfolded my fears were dispelled and I enjoyed myself immensely.
I would like to thank my guests for making the dinner such a pleasurable event. It was heartening to see such a broad range of ages – from first year undergraduates to rather more senior ONs – and I hope such breadth will help the dinner go from strength to strength in the future.
It is not an exclusive event for Oxonians and I hope any ON who wishes to enjoy a dinner with former school-friends in a unique setting will feel free to join us next year! It is at this point that I pass the baton to next year's organiser Henry Oliver (studying English at Lady Margaret Hall); I look forward to seeing everyone again next year, hopefully at Lady Margaret Hall."
