Examination arrangements
Bad Weather affecting external GCE and GCSE Examinations during January 2010
Having consulted the examination boards, we can confirm that all external GCE and GCSE examinations scheduled for the January Session at the High School will take place at the published times.
All pupils should arrive at least ten minutes before the scheduled start time of the examination, as stated in the Briefing Notice already issued to candidates. Allow extra time for your journey if weather conditions are adverse. To comply with examination board requirements, any pupil arriving after our published start time must report to the School Reception. From Reception, candidates will be escorted to the examination room by a member of the ‘Examinations Team’. However, if candidates are over 30 minutes late for the start times published by the school, then Examinations Boards reserve the right to decline to accept examination papers.
As all GCSE and A-Level qualifications available in January 2010 are also available in June 2010, any candidate unable to attend as a result of adverse weather conditions will have the opportunity to sit the examination in the June 2010 session.
