Year 7 had a very enjoyable and rewarding trip to Twycross Zoo on Thursday 20th May. The weather was perfect to view the wide variety of animals, particularly monkeys and apes for which the zoo is renowned. We attended two talks in the zoo’s education centre. The first about how animals can be grouped or classified, the second covering reproductive strategies. There was the opportunity for the boys to not only see close up but handle a variety of organisms, including a Chinchilla and a Corn snake.
Other highlights of the day included the latest 9 month old addition to the elephant house and the ever popular Meerkats.
