European Computer Driving Licence

ECDL successful candidates 2010

 

The European Computer Driving Licence® (ECDL) is the internationally recognised qualification which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills. The record breaking ECDL is the fastest growing IT user qualification in over 125 countries. Organisations who recognise ECDL are amongst others; First Direct, HSBC, IBM, MOD – Army, Navy, RAF, NHS and Pfizer.

As part of General Studies fifteen Year 13 boys have recently completed their European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Extra qualification, which is a level 2 certificate and is equivalent to 1 GCSE at grade A-C.  The modules passed were:  IT User Fundamentals, Using Email and the Internet, Security for IT Users, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations and Improving Productivity using IT.  The boys are:  Alexander Aldred, Lawrence Beckford, Vivek Chidambaram, Gabriel Currie, James Davies, Tanuj Dua, James Fraser, Philip Gibbins, Jaspreet Landa, William Nolan, Luke Raynor, Dominic Torr, Sam Travell, Simon Vernon and James Webb-Bowen.
