Year 8 Physics 

Physics in Year 8

In Year 8 you will study 7 areas of Physics:

• Energy.
• Electricity.
• Light.
• Sound & Hearing.
• Electromagnetism.
• Heating and Cooling.
• The Earth and Beyond.

You will also have the opportunity to investigate further an area of Physics that interests you when you complete a small research project in the Summer term.

Both the light topic and the heating & cooling topic require you to carry out experiments and complete worksheets independently of your teacher.  You must therefore control your own learning process and ensure that you use your time wisely.

The year is divided into 3 phases with a major test occurring after phase 1.  The revision sheet for the Phase 1 test can be found below.
