On Friday, 19th April, a select gathering of just over 100 guests joined the Headmaster and the Head of Drama, Miss Webster, to attend the official opening of the new Les Wilkinson Drama studio. Special guest of honour, and cutter of the red ribbon, was Mr Les Wilkinson himself. Les, who retired from the School in July 2011 after 34 years, was instrumental in establishing drama at the School, and naming the new studio after him was felt to be a fitting tribute to his commitment and love of drama.

Also attending were the Lord Mayor, several members of the English department, past and present, and guests of the cast of 'The Canterbury Tales', a special performance of which followed the official studio opening ceremony.
