Swimathon raises over £1,500 for Marie Curie

On the 29th April 16 boys – from Year 6 to Year 13 - and 5 staff took part in a Swimathon in the Nottingham High School pool, swimming distances of between 1 mile (64 lengths) and 5km (200 lengths).

9 boys completed the 5km challenge, the fastest time being Andrew Wright (11H) who completed it in 1 hour, 13 minutes and 52 seconds.  It was also great to see 2 boys in Year 6 (Matthew Manterfield and Ralph Wills) and Christy Byrne in Year 7 complete this distance. 

Altogether, over £1500 has been raised, which is for Marie Curie Cancer, the charity nominated by Swimathon.
