For the second year running the High School has joined forces with the Djanogly City Academy to provide a writers' workshop for Year 9 students.
Twenty of our boys teamed up with twenty boys and girls from Djanogly to work on two projects - one from the world of journalism and one from the world of storytelling.
We were very pleased to welcome Mr Dominic Holtam, the Editor of Performance Car magazine, who inspired the students to produce articles about the new Ferrari California. Then, after refreshments, the students turned their creative energies in the direction of ghost stories, producing some chilling examples - despite the excessive heat of the Large Lecture Theatre!
It was good to see how quickly the students relaxed into working together and combining their writing talents. Once again it was an enjoyable and productive morning - and one which succeeded in building a creative bridge between the two schools.
