Home-School-Pupil Partnership
 
As a practical expression of our TEAM motto, we offer the following practical suggestions relating to the different roles in the home-school-pupil triangle:
 
Parents/Guardians
I/we will:
support my son’s progress by looking through his work, checking his planner weekly and discussing his achievements
ensure that homework is completed satisfactorily and encourage other opportunities for learning at home and in the community
encourage good habits in learning and effective examination preparation
attend parents’ evenings and be involved in target-setting
support the school’s policies and guidelines for behaviour and school discipline
ensure that my son is punctual, properly equipped and wears the correct school uniform
inform the tutor of any concerns about school or home that might affect my son’s work or behaviour
inform the form teacher of any reasons for absence from school
take an active interest in my son’s life at school
support my son in all activities when he is representing the school or taking part in a school function
encourage his spiritual development
 
The School

promote your son’s health and safety
encourage spiritual development
provide a wide range of sporting, cultural and extra-curricular activities
 
The Student
I will:
complete all my classwork and homework to the best of my ability
bring all necessary equipment for work each day and meet deadlines
take an interest in my spiritual development
follow the school rules and codes of conduct at all times, including when travelling to and from school
attend school punctually
wear school uniform correctly, and be tidy in appearance
make my tutor and parents aware of any concerns I may have about the school
show respect and consideration for others and not become involved in any form of bullying
care for the school environment and other people’s property
give school communications to my parent or guardian promptly
take an active part in extra-curricular, sporting and other educational activities
represent the school whenever called upon to do so.
