You go to school to become knowledgeable and aware of the world and what it has to offer. You also go to school to gain qualifications to succeed in later life. At the , you will achieve both those things because you will be taught lots of different and interesting subjects in an enjoyable and rewarding environment.
To start, each subject you will study in year seven are all in a different classroom totally devoted to that topic, e.g. if the lesson was science, you would go to the science block. If your next lesson was Music, you would head off to the Music department, again, just one of the many buildings designed for just one subject or topic. An Art and D.T block has just recently been constructed, giving a wider opportunity to students, especially to those at GSCE level. You will feel as though everything possible has been done to make sure that whatever you're being taught is surrounding you and influencing you.
There is an extremely wide range of subjects and activities taught at the school, along with some excellent facilities. You are taught so mnay subjects in Year Seven, and although many of them were new to me when I first started the school, I found them all really interesting and enjoyable. All of the lessons are packed full of highly educational content, covering many different areas of that particular subject.
In the first few weeks of your life at the High School, you may learn or experience something that you have never even heard about in your life before, certainly in the science department. But the thing that really makes the lessons special at this school is that that happens every day, and even every 35 mins, you will learn something completely new that you had never discovered or learnt about before, and if you think about it, that makes every lesson worth waiting for.
