School Uniform
House Ties
 
Boys should wear school uniform correctly to and from school and , as well as at school and when taking part in any occasion or activity connected with the School, unless specific permission is given to wear other clothing. Their willing co-operation is much appreciated. Additional items (such as coloured tee-shirts under a white/grey shirt, earrings, studs, jewellery and badges) must not be worn.
 
All clothing must be clean, tidy and clearly marked with your name. Anyone wishing to depart from these clothing regulations in any way must seek permission from the Deputy Headmaster.
 
Everyday Use
·          School blazer
·          Plain white or medium grey shirt, top button fastened.
·          House tie
·          Medium or dark grey trousers
·          Grey, dark blue or black socks
·          Plain black shoes
·          Optional medium/dark grey v-necked pullover, or black pullover with the school crest for anyone who has represented the School in a sporting event
·          Outer clothing of a sober design
·          Hair clean and neat, of natural colour, and neither beyond collar length nor close-shaven
·          You must be clean-shaven.
 
Towards the end of the school year, boys in Year 11 may replace outgrown or worn-out blazers with suits, after obtaining permission from the Head of Year.
Cyclists should wear suitable protective clothing, which may be brightly coloured in the interests of safety.
 
Summer Dress
Jackets become an optional part of school uniform at School once Summer Dress has been announced in Assembly, but they must be worn on the journey in, and worn or carried on the way home.  All other uniform must be worn correctly.
 
PE: White gym shorts, predominantly white socks, school athletics vest, white plimsolls or predominantly white trainers, towel and bag.
 
Rugby: Black and white rugby shirt with two-inch hoops, white rugby shirt, black rugby shorts, black rugby socks with white tops, rugby boots with legal rugby studs, towel.  We recommend that all boys wear a mouth guard.  Head protection, if worn, must be black.
 
Cricket:  white sweater (either with no coloured trim or with the school colours), white cricket shirt, white trousers for school matches (boys may wear grey trousers for their games afternoons), white cricket boots or white cricket trainers (boots preferred), white ‘floppy’ hat (if required) or school cricket cap.  Bats, pads, helmets, etc., are provided, but you may bring your own.
 
Athletics and Cross Country:  white shorts, school athletics vest (team members must wear the official team vest obtainable from the School Clothing Shop), spiked running shoes or trainers.
 
Tennis:  white polo shirt with embroidered crest (obtainable from the School Clothing Shop), white shorts, predominantly white tennis shoes and socks.
 
Swimming:  predominantly black trunks, towel.
 
Optional items
School red sweatshirt and plain black tracksuit trousers.  No other tracksuit allowed. Both items are available from the School Shop (see below for further details).

School Shop:
We operate our own shop, which is located in the White House. There is a good stock of high-quality second-hand school uniform and sportswear at very reasonable prices.  The shop also stocks items of new school wear, as well as sportswear which is unique to the School. 
 
The shop is open several mornings from mid-August until the start of term, on Mondays. Wednesdays and Thursdays thereafter between 3.30 and 4.30 during term time (other times by arrangement, tel.
