The Year 8 course builds on the material covered in Year 7. The intention is that you enjoy the subject whilst acquiring new skills and knowledge – once again there are plenty of experiments!
At the end of each section there will be a short test to ensure that you have understood the ideas introduced and to show you the areas you may need to work more on.
At the end of Year 8 there will be a summer examination. The revision sheet for this year's summer exam is available to download here.

Chemistry Club for Year 8 runs every Friday at third break in C4. It's a great opportunity for the boys to try out fun, messy and sometimes explosive experiments that are not part of the normal teaching curriculum.
