All boys study History in years 7, 8 and 9. Each boy has two timetabled history periods and one homework (lasting 30 minutes) a week in years 7 and 8 and three periods and one 35 minute homework in year 9.
Many boys opt to continue their study of History for GCSE in years 10 and 11. They will then have four periods a week and a homework lasting 45-55 minutes a week.
Boys studying History in the Sixth Form have eight timetabled periods a week shared between two teachers. Homework and preparation are set as required. At AS Level all History work is expected to take 4-5 hours per week. At A2 Level it is expected to take 6-7 hours per week.
