The ICT Centres are open from 8.00-4.45 every day.  You can use them in break times too.  You can do homework, there is help available.  Ms Culshaw is the ICT Teaching Assistant who is always on hand to answer your queries. The ICT Technicians are based in the office near the large lecture theatre.

You can listen to music, surf the Internet, in fact you can do most things as long as you abide by the Student Code of Conduct.

Use of ICT Centres (ICT1 & ICT2)

  • Eating and drinking are not allowed.
  • Headphones must be used when listening to music, audio files etc.
  • The facilities may only be used for academic-related work during lesson time.
  • Priority at any time will always be given to those needing ICT facilities for academic work.

There are other ICT facilities available in the Library (wireless laptops), Art, Design Technology, and Science Departments.

 Printing

  • You will be given a printing allowance which may be increased on request.  Black and white work is charged at 1 credit per page; colour at 5 credits per page.
  • Multiple copies of the same document may only be printed with permission from a member of the ICT staff.
  • You must not print documents with a solid colour background since these are extremely expensive in ink cartridges.
