The Concert band is the School's largest ensemble (50/60 players).  Students have to have a minimum standard of Grade 5.  The band recently have been very succesful at National level, reaching the National Windband Finals at the Sage in 2007 and The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama 2006.   They were also invited to perform at the International Wind Band Festival held at the Royal Scottish Academy last summer.  In October the band are undertaking a tour of Rome to include five concerts combined with an extensive classics programme. The band have played at the Royal Festival Hall and have had sucessful tours which include Andalucia, Malta, Northern Spain, Venice, and have won an International competition in Holland.
