On Friday, 7th March the Friends of  Nottingham High School and the Music department hosted a joint Jazz Night. Guests were entertained by The Big Band in an informal atmosphere, playing numbers ranging from the '40's to the present day. A special staff ensemble of Mr Leutfeld (piano), Mr Sillitoe (percussion), Mr Lacey (trombone) and Mr Gray (bass) also played for the audience whilst they dined, and The Junior Big Band performed two numbers.

 

Food was provided in the form of a curry - with all the trimmings! - which went down a storm. Many thanks to Mr Douglas and the Music department for their help in organising the event, and for the time spent rehearsing with the bands - a real success!
