Nottingham High School

Cricket is played by every boy who comes into the school, and they all get the chance to receive coaching from our staff and from our cricket professional Ian Rose. The boys will also have the opportunity of receiving quality coaching from various England and County cricketers during the winter and spring term.

The school runs teams at every age group and we will play over 100 matches next year against all the top cricketing schools within travelling distance.   In all years we run two teams to give as many boys as possible the opportunity to represent the school.   The 1st XI also have matches against the M.C.C. and have entered for the first time two 20/20 competitions.

On games afternoons boys play in a game that is suited to their ability.   The cricket facilities at our Valley Road playing field are excellent, with 3 cricket squares, 8 nets and a further 6 pitches, and every boy has access to good quality, modern cricket equipment.
