"I have been given many opportunities within school, to let out my inner musicality".
My involvement and interest in music and drama started back in Year 1 at Lovell House, by joining the choir, and performing as ‘Dad’ in the Christmas Nativity. This has progressed into performances both within and out of school, to name a few performances: singing the solo Shepherds Boy part, for the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra, the Opera, Tosca, singing ‘Walking in the Air’ more times than I care to mention, but will mention the time I sang it with Aled Jones hosting! More recently, playing the part of Gavroche in Les Misérables as part of the Let the People Sing 40th anniversary UK Amateur Premiere.
I have also been given many opportunities within school, to let out my inner musicality, including winning the Ingram Cup twice, and more recently, have arranged and been granted permission to conduct a piece for the Junior Harp Ensemble. I am very proud to have been awarded a recent Senior School Music Scholarship.
None of this would have been possible without the encouragement, support, inspiration and guidance of many amazing teachers.
