Like many students, A-level results day came with its fair share of challenges. My results were not what I had hoped for, but the journey didn’t end there.

Although I had secured a place at my firm choice, the University of Bath, I decided to go through clearing, a process that was both nerve-wracking and exciting. I’m incredibly grateful to now be joining King’s College London this September to undertake a BA in Politics.

Thursday 14th August 2025 taught me a lot about resilience, adaptability and grasping opportunities even when the path looks different to the one you had hoped or imagined. I’m looking forward to beginning this new chapter, meeting new people and diving deeper into my passion.

To anyone else who may not have achieved the grades they were expecting: the journey is rarely linear, but it can still take you exactly where you’re meant to be.

I’d like to thank everyone at Nottingham High School for their support and guidance over the past 2 years. I am proud to say that the school has shaped me both academically and personally.

I am also deeply grateful to Loughborough Grammar School, where I built the foundations that have helped me reach this stage.
