Meet the Team

Angharad Simpson, Deputy Head (International and Strategic Projects) works on major areas of external strategy for the school. A Modern Linguist by trade, Mrs Simpson’s main area of academic interest is the Spanish Civil War and its representation in literature and film. She previously served as Assistant Head (Teaching and Learning) at the school and has also worked in two large HMC boarding schools in the South-East of England. Mrs Simpson is passionate about whole-school approaches to connect the experiences of children and young people from Lovell House to Sixth Form, and was heavily involved in the establishment of Squirrels Nursery in September 2025. She is also interested in quality assurance and SEND, and serves as an ISI inspector. Outside of school, Mrs Simpson is kept busy with two young daughters. Her background in ballet has left her a long-standing supporter of the performing arts. She is currently a patron of a Welsh ballet company and serves as a governor of an HMC school in Staffordshire.
