Meet the Team

Paul Spedding has worked at Nottingham High School since 1997.  During his time at the School, Paul has taught Maths and PE, whilst holding senior leadership roles as Pastoral Deputy Head for five years and for the past nine years as Academic Deputy Head.   Paul has always been involved in Sport, CCF and DofE expeditions and has both run and attended many overseas trips across the world.  He currently runs the ski trip in the School. Paul has always felt it is important to see the students in a different environment as he feels that excellent relationships between staff and students are a core foundation of how the School works so well. 

Paul has three children, one at university having been through the High School and the other two are still in the School. He is a part time triathlete, open water swimmer, hockey umpire and ever optimistic Everton supporter.  He also enjoys all types of music, especially Indie Rock.  Paul feels that he has a really strong understanding of what it means to be a student at Nottingham High School through his own children (who are all different) and the many years he has been part of this fantastic school.
